About Me

I work as an educational consultant mentoring new teachers, providing professional development and developing math curricula. I believe in the value of well written, common sense standards as a roadmap. Teachers must hone common sense classroom method to ensure students reach maximum potential. I have a Master's degree in Education, and I am a certified teacher in Illinois. Previously, I was a trainer and curriculum specialist in the United States Navy, where I learned needs analysis and the development of quality, standards based lessons. Topics taught included advanced algebra, trigonometry and advanced electronics for weapons control. My classroom philosophy emphasizes recognition of multiple intelligences and the use of hands-on lessons and all available technology to ensure all students receive instruction in a way they can understand.
